Job Description:

The Program Coordinator/Admin Assistant will work directly with the Executive Director and Director of Programs to support both the implementation and funding of our programs.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Coordinates resources for program/event (site reservations, technical resources, volunteer/staff/contractor resources, and program/event materials)
  • Supports program development and community awareness through material distribution (flyers, posters, e-mails, e-news, and others as needed)
  • Maintain correspondence with partners
  • Assist in attainment of program sponsorships, implementation of fundraising events, application for grants, and cultivation of donors
  • Continuously update the database of donor profiles, participant tracking, and contact information
  • Continuously update database and utilization of their email/social media marketing tools.
  • Maintains a master calendar of events in office and on website
  • Maintains website and updates social media
  • Handles registration at events and on-line
  • Office management


  • Excellent writing and communication skills are a must
  • Candidate will show proficiency in drafting letters, emails and informational blurbs
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to show initiative and manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs such as Excel, Publisher, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, (Photoshop - helpful)
  • Competent social media marketing is highly desirable
  • A BS/BA degree from a certified university or comparable work experience
  • A valid California’s driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to complete related work tasks

Approximately 30-40 hours a week

Compensation: $13-$18/hour

Proposed start date: June/July
