Job Description

Coronado SAFE (Student And Family Enrichment) is a 501c3 nonprofit whose vision is build resilient youth able to face life’s challenges. The Administrative Assistant will work directly with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical Counseling and Program Manager to implement the vision and goals set forth by the Board of Directors. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the organization as a whole, along with supporting programs, marketing and fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Regularly update database of donor profiles, participant registration and tracking
  • Manage reports, surveys and metrics
  • Create/update policies and procedures for program and administrative processes
  • Project and Event Coordinator
  • Office management
  • Schedule and coordinate presenters for parent and community enrichment
  • Work closely with school administration in coordinating on-campus student programs
  • Coordinate office space for counseling appointments, group sessions and meetings
  • Support community awareness, branding, and marketing efforts
  • Coordinate updates for Social Media and Website
  • Regularly coordinate/write promotional materials, newsletters, etc.
  • Work with Board of Directors as needed
  • Manage volunteers as needed
  • Complete other administrative tasks to support Executive Director and organizational goals


  • Great communication skills
  • Very strong writing skills (ranges from informal social media posts to professional e-mails/letters)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to show initiative and manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Possess the ability to exercise independent judgement and proactively identify issues or problems and be able to seek out resolutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in marketing and promotions helpful
  • Experience in social media (Facebook, Instagram) and website management helpful
  • Experience in fundraising helpful
  • A BS/BA degree from a certified university or comparable work experience
  • A valid California’s driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to complete related work tasks

Compensation: 30-40 hours a week. $18-20/hour. (Benefits: flexibility in schedule; sorry no health insurance provided) Proposed start date – July
