- Pause, Connect with Peers
- Expand Your Coping Skills
- Build Your Resilience
Greetings from Coronado SAFE! This past year has been hard on many people and as high school students you've had many things turned upside down. From transitioning to distance learning, having clubs, sports, and other events cancelled, to looking forward to your future and planning for college, you have quite a lot on your plates. All that change and stress can really add up and begin to affect one's mental health.
Taking some time in your week to pause, connect with peers, and expand your coping skills tool kit is a great way to de-stress and build your resiliency. At Coronado SAFE, we would like to provide that space for you all. We are planning to host a group for high school aged youth in the Coronado community and we would love your input on when exactly that would work best for your schedule. Groups will be once a week and around 45 minutes. This will be a safe place to share what's on your mind and learn some concrete skills that can help with the stressors you may be experiencing.
