Join us for a discussion on executive function, including ways students can learn to improve and/or navigate challenges with:

  • Paying attention
  • Organizing, planning and prioritizing
  • Starting tasks and staying focused on them to completion
  • Understanding different points of view
  • Regulating emotions
  • Self-monitoring (keeping track of what you're doing)

Mark Katz, Ph.D., is a clinical and consulting psychologist and Director of Learning Development Services, an educational, psychological and neuropsychological center. He is the author of the books Children Who Fail at School but Succeed at Life: Lessons of Lives Well-Lived and On Playing a Poor Hand Well.
