Marketing Coordinator (Part-Time)

Job Description

Coronado SAFE (Student And Family Enrichment) is a 501c3 nonprofit whose vision is to build resilient youth able to face life’s challenges. The Marketing Coordinator will work directly with the Executive Director to promote the vision and goals set forth by the Board of Directors. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for promoting the organization as a whole, along with promoting programs, and fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Increase community awareness of organization’s programs
  • Utilize media to promote positive emotional & behavioral health
  • Write press releases/articles for the local newspaper and other media outlets
  • Regularly coordinate social media posts
  • Update and manage content on website
  • Regularly coordinate/write promotional materials, newsletters, etc.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns
  • Promotional Materials: Design, print & distribute
  • Regularly update database of email/social media marketing tools.

  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to show initiative and manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Possess the ability to exercise independent judgement and proactively identify issues or problems and be able to seek out resolutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Photoshop
  • Experience in marketing and promotions
  • Competent in social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Knowledge of final cut and/or other video editing programs (helpful)
  • Experience in fundraising (helpful)
  • A BS/BA degree from a certified university or comparable work experience
  • A valid California’s driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to complete related work tasks
  • Knowledge of final cut and/or other video editing programs

Compensation: 5-15 hours a week. $16-22/hour. Proposed start date – September
